I used the colors from the Spring Inspiration Board along with the Fairy Friends stamp set! The images were water-colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. The background was created with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink, a stencil and water-coloring on top of the stenciled lines!
Thank you! 🙂 ~Samantha
We’re so happy you shared this gorgeous card with us today, Samantha!
Have a lovely day to all our Lawn Fawnatics friends!
Hey everyone, Christy here with a quick and easy card inspired by our latest Mood Board Challenge. My first card was inspired by both the beautiful photos and color palette. This time I decided to think outside the box, or rather, the boxes themselves.
I had also just gotten my hands on my favorite set of the new release, You’re Claw-some, and even though I am loving all these super fun interactive cards I’m seeing with it, I wanted to challenge myself to use it in a different, simpler way.
I stamped all my images and colored them with Copics, keeping the bears very neutral so my unicorn would stand out. Then I layered them each on a Cross-Stitched Square die cut from Watercolor Wishes paper, leaving one for my sentiment. I popped those squares up on a white Stitched Rectangle Stackables panel, and layered that over a sheet of Perfectly Plaid Rainbow paper die cut with the Zig Zag Rectangle. Then I added the whole thing to a white standard notecard. Quick, simple, easy, and cute.
You still have a few days left to enter our challenge! Hope to see your project there.
Thank you so much for sharing this delightfully adorable card with us today, Christy! Check out her blog post HERE for an awesome video tutorial!
Have a great weekend everyone and happy crafting!
Jessica joins us today with a beautiful ink blended card!
Good morning! Jess here with a bright and cheerful graduation card using the colors from our Spring Inspiration Board challenge to inspire me!
To start I blended Wilted Violet, Broken China, and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide inks onto a piece of watercolor paper and spritzed it with Perfect Pearls spray for a little shimmer. I trimmed down the panel and adhered it to white card base. Next I stamped the flamingo from Flamingo Together onto Copic-friendly cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and colored him with Copic markers. I also added some clear sparkle over his body for extra shine. I die-cut him with the coordinating dies and set him aside while I put the card together.
I used the Ocean Wave Borders die to die cut light blue cardstock and then stamped the sentiment from Flamingo Together with Versamark ink and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. I adhered the waves to the water-colored background and then used foam mounting tape to adhere my flamingo to the scene. I finished the card with a sprinkling of clear iridescent sequins!
I hope this gives you some ideas on how to use the color palette for our current challenge! Have a wonderful weekend and happy crafting!
