A Fantastic Playground Scene with Mimi!

We hope you enjoy today’s inspiration and join us for the Create a Scene challenge! We can’t wait to see your creativity! This challenge will be open until Sunday, May 1 at 11:59PM ET.

Hi everyone. It’s Mimi here sharing my ‘Create a Scene” playground project featuring the new fruit basket!

I started with a die cut of the large slimline rectangle, the Puffy Cloud Border and a freehand cut of a slimline strip. I ink blended the top of the large slimline rectangle with Lawn Fawn Peacock ink for the sky and the bottom portion with Distress Oxide Tea Dye and Antique Linen ink spattered with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink for the sand. The puffy cloud border and the freehand cut strip were ink blended with Lawn Fawn Jalapeño and Freshly Cut Grass ink for the shrubs and grass. I also stamped a few sand waves from On the Beach with Brushed Corduroy Distress Oxide ink.

I started with the swing set from Let’s Play. I wanted the swing set to be longer, so I extended the swing set by masking one end and stamping it again. I also scaled down the swing to fit the Tiny Friends, so I masked one end of the swing and stamped it again closer. I positioned one of the swings sideways to make it look like Grandma is pushing the girl on the swing.

Next, I die cut the new Fruit Basket die twice and flipped it upside down to create a dome climbing jungle gym. I offset one over the other to give it a little dimension. I added some dots to the climber at the connecting points. I placed a few Tiny Friends climbing and hanging upside down.

The play structure was created using the booth from Coaster Critters. I added a ladder from Cheery Christmas and I used the top portion of the hamster wheel from Wheelie Like You to make the middle bridge. The small slide was made by stamping only the slide railing of the slide from Let’s Play. Lastly, I added a wooden play boat from Ahoy Matey and finished off the scene by adding some highlights with a white gel pen.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my ‘Create a Scene’.

Oh wow, Mimi! This clever playground scene is amazing! Thank you so much for sharing with us today!

Christy’s Beary Rainy Day Scene

We hope you enjoy today’s inspiration and join us for the Create a Scene challenge! We can’t wait to see your creativity! This challenge will be open until Sunday, May 1 at 11:59PM ET.

Hey friends, it’s Christy with another card for our Create a Scene Challenge! I’ve created a few cheerful cards recently using the Beary Rainy Day stamp set, but this time I wanted to go in a darker direction for someone who might be having a rough time. I don’t have enough cards like that in my stash for when a situation that calls for one suddenly comes up. So, I combined it with the sweet little Here for You Bear cub (a recent free gift with purchase) and some mushrooms from Oh Gnome! and Gleeful Gardens. I stamped the images in Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

I created my stormy scene by masking off the bottom of a panel of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock with Post-it Tape. I blended on Hickory Smoke and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks for the ground. Then I repositioned my mask and blended the same colors for the sky. Then I used the Rainy Sky Stencil to add some Fairy Dust Stencil Paste raindrops. I also cut two pieces of Noble Fir Cardstock with the Slimline Grassy Hillside Borders (you could use the regular length, I just don’t own them), and blended a bit more Black Soot at the bottom of each to darken them up.

I cut down those pieces with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and popped the background onto a Storm Cloud card base with foam tape. Then I added the grass and images with liquid glue. I adhered an Everyday Sentiment Banner in the top right corner and finished the card with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

I also finished off the inside of the card, which you can check out in the video tutorial on my YouTube Channel, Christy Gets Crafty!

Thank you so much for sharing this beautifully thoughtful card with us today, Christy!

Have a happy, crafty weekend, everyone!

Catherine’s Berry Special Kitchen Scene

We hope you enjoy today’s inspiration and join us for the Create a Scene challenge! We can’t wait to see your creativity! This challenge will be open until Sunday, May 1 at 11:59PM ET.

Catherine inspires us today with an adorable scene featuring the Berry Special mice!

Catherine is so great at creating detailed scenes packed with fun little elements! To create this cute kitchen scene, she used Magic Picture Changer Oven Add-On for the stove top, pot and spoon and she borrowed the shower from Rub-A-Dub-Dub to fill in for the faucet! I love the cute strawberry detail she added to the Quinn’s Capital ABCs greeting!

Be sure to check out the supply list below to see all the sets she combined to create this delightful scene!

Thank you so much, Catherine! Those jam-making mice are just too cute!
