We hope you enjoy today’s inspiration! We are looking forward to seeing your Summertime Fun creativity! The Challenge 127 – Summertime Fun is a 2-week challenge and will be open until Sunday, July 3 at 11:59PM ET.

Today we are shining the spotlight on a couple of cards in the Summertime Fun challenge gallery! They are each by recent Featured Fawnatics and we know they will inspire your creativity!

This fun card is Bianca‘s version of an amusement park near her home! She combined lots of sets to create a whimsical Summertime Fun scene!
She used: Coaster Critters, Happy Hugs, Life is Good, Ahoy Matey, Spooky Village, Happy Village, Let’s Play, Meow You Doin?

Kathrin put her amazing coloring skills to work creating this design! I’m sure, like me, some your best summer memories involve a campfire on the beach!
She used: Super Star, Crazy Antics, Bubbles of Joy, You Autumn Know, S’more the Merrier, Tropical Backdrop, Palm Tree Border

Big thanks to both Bianca and Kathrin for sharing their fantastic card projects with us. We are so happy that you played along with the Summertime Fun challenge!

Christy’s Cool Birthday at the Beach!

We hope you enjoy today’s inspiration! We are looking forward to seeing your Summertime Fun creativity! The Challenge 127 – Summertime Fun is a 2-week challenge and will be open until Sunday, July 3 at 11:59PM ET.

Hey friends, it’s Christy with another card for our Summertime Fun Challenge! I started this one by stamping out the images from Pool Party and On the Beach in Jet Black Ink. I colored them with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I used three panels of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock blended with Distress Oxide Ink. For the sky, I blended some Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers. For the water, I trimmed off the top with the Stitched Wave Borders and used the same two shades, plus some Mermaid Lagoon, then used the Stitched Ripple Backdrop to give it some texture. For the sand, I trimmed off the top with the Stitched Simple Wavy Borders and blended on Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs. Then I splattered both the sand and see with Liquid Stardust.

For my sentiment, I colored some white cardstock with Copics in shades of orange and die cut the C and L using Finley’s ABCs. I added the pool floaties for the Os to spell out the word COOL. The rest of the sentiment I white heat embossed onto Black Licorice Cardstock and cut down into strips. I glued everything down with liquid glue and finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

If you’d like to see how this card came together, you can check out the video tutorial on my YouTube Channel, Christy Gets Crafty. If you haven’t yet entered our Summertime Fun Challenge, there is still another week to play! We can’t wait to see what projects you’ll come up with!

Samantha’s Life is Good in the Summertime Inspiration!

We hope you enjoy today’s inspiration! We are looking forward to seeing your Summertime Fun creativity! The Challenge 127 – Summertime Fun is a 2-week challenge and will be open until Sunday, July 3 at 11:59PM ET.

Samantha created an amazing beach scene with summertime fun! Take it away, Sam!

I can’t resist a good beach scene for the summer! And this time, the crab from Life is Good are up to some summer-y antics! I love how cute they are! All of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut out. I used images from Life is Good, On the Beach and Pool Party! I even added some details to the images with a white gel pen.

The background was created by die cutting out some sandy shores with the Stitched Hillside Borders. I used Distress Inks in Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber to add color. Then splattered white acrylic ink, water and ink color on top to add the sandy texture.

I used some white cardstock, and the Stitched Ripple Backdrop for the ocean! I added color with Distress
Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina, and surprisingly, I held myself back from any splattering! Ha! I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto some black licorice cardstock and cut it into a banner.

Thanks so much for this delightful inspiration, Samantha!
