Jenn Takes the Ugly and Bright Critters to the Beach!

It’s time to use all those Lawn Fawn critters in festive holiday designs! Link up your entry photos HERE! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies, stencils and papers and follow the challenge theme. This challenge will be open until Sunday, December 4 at 11:59PM ET.

Jenn joins us today with more charming Holiday Critters inspiration!

Jenn’s adorable scene takes the Ugly and Bright critters to the beach for a cozy holiday! She began by stenciling the snowflakes in the background with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink. Then she stamped all the images (see supply list below for the sets she used) with Jet Black Ink before coloring them with Copic markers.

All the glittery accents were adding using Quickie Glue and Prisma and Chunky Glitter.

She inked the Henry’s ABCs with Kitsch Flamingo and Lobster Ink to create a fun ombré, then she covered the lower part of each letter with Chunky Glitter.

As always, Jenn shares a Copic marker chart so you can recreate her cheery coloring!

Happy Howlidays with Christy!

Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our Holiday Critters Challenge! For this one I decided to make a fun indoor scene with sweet pups getting up to a bit of holiday mischief. I combined images from Furry and Bright and Joy to All, stamped in Jet Black ink and colored them with Copic markers. I trimmed them all out with the matching dies.

Then I created a background using some patterned paper. I chose a tan print from the Let It Shine Starry Skies 6×6 pad to be my wallpaper and the Light Brown Woodgrain Cardstock for a floor, with a strip of leftover Bristol Cardstock for the baseboard. Then I arranged my pups and the holiday elements on the floor, leaving room for a large sentiment above.

Then I spelled out my punny sentiment using Finley’s ABCs die cut from Barn Red Cardstock, and white heat embossed the rest by selectively stamping a phrase from Ho-Ho-Holidays onto Ground Coffee Cardstock. I die cut that with an Everyday Sentiment Banner and trimmed it down to have one flag end and glued that at the top. I finished this card off with a bit of Stardust Stickles for some shine.

If you’d like to watch this card come together, you can check out the video tutorial on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Samantha’s Christmas Fishes Inspiration

It’s time to use all those Lawn Fawn critters in festive holiday designs! Link up your entry photos HERE! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies, stencils and papers and follow the challenge theme. This challenge will be open until Sunday, December 4 at 11:59PM ET.

Samantha has some adorable ocean critter inspiration for us today!

I love making Holiday cards, especially cards with holiday critters! For this card, I used the Christmas Fishes, Furry and Bright and Ho-Ho-Holidays images to create this fun under water Christmas Eve scene!

I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brushes and then used the coordinating
dies to die cut them out! I added some details with a white gel pen, and also some chunky glitter
to add to the festiveness!

For the background, I started by ink blending with Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock
Feathers and Salvaged Patina. Then I used the same colors but added it to the same areas with
a paintbrush and some water. Once that was dry, I did more ink blending with the same colors. That process adds to the extra saturation and boldness of the colors! Love it!

The sentiment was heat embossed in white onto Black Licorice Cardstock and then die cut out
with the Fancy Wavy Banners.

Thank you for inspiring us today, Samantha!
