It’s the last weekend for the Summertime Fun: Critters on Vacation challenge and Jenn is here with some fun inspiration! We all know she loves the ocean and so does this critter. Can you spot it?

Jenn created this ocean scene with Stitched Wave Borders, Puffy Cloud Borders and Spring Showers. She used Distress Watercolor cardstock and Distress Watercolor Pencils to add that amazing color!

For the banner she started with Fishtail Banner Borders, stamping Cape Cod with Riley’s ABCs. Then she added the little shells from Beachy Christmas.

Now do you see the critter?

Thanks for this fun inspiration, Jenn!

Be sure to check out Jenn’s new online class “Tutti Frutti”! You will find all the details HERE.

Hi Friends, Samantha here! What’s better than a summer campout with good friends and good s’mores? These squirrels are having the time of their lives!

All of the images from S’more the Merrier, Let’s Go Nuts and Critters in the Forest were stamped with Jet Black ink and then colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Then I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. I added some details to the images with a white gel pen! I used Distress Inks in greens to add color to the hills and grass that were die cut from white cardstock.

I used Distress Inks to ink blend the night sky, too. Then I splattered some white acrylic ink and gold paint on top to mimic stars! The sentiment was heat embossed in white onto some Black Licorice Cardstock. I popped a few of the squirrels up with foam tape for some dimension! My favorite squirrel is that one peeking out from behind the trees with a few marshmallows! Sneaky little guy! Lol!

Thank you so much for inspiring us with this super cute card, Samantha!

Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our Summertime Fun: Critters on Vacation Challenge! My favorite way to spend my birthday is taking a road trip and visiting someplace new. And that is just what this little dog named Sandy is doing on his big day — taking a trip to the beach! He’s got all his favorite toys with him and he’s even made a little friend. I combined images from Yappy Birthday, Yappy Birthday Add-On, On the Beach, Pool Party, and Fintastic Friends. I stamped all the images in Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

To build the background, I blended Distress Oxide Inks onto a panel of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. I started by creating a sky using Salvaged Patina along with the Cloudy Stencil. Then I masked off the bottom with a torn strip of Post-it Tape, and used Salvaged Patina, Evergreen Bough, and Peacock Feathers to create the water. Then I masked off the edges of both of those sections and used Antique Linen and Vintage Photo in the center for the sand. I also did some splatter with both inks and the Gansai Tambi Starry Colors.

I trimmed that panel down with the second largest of the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables and stamped my sentiment in the top right corner. Then I trimmed down some Fruit Salad 6×6 patterned paper with the largest of the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I glued this to the front of a Speckled Eggshell card base and popped the focal panel up with foam tape.

I adhered my images with liquid glue and added sparkle with a touch of Stardust Stickles. On the inside, I finished the card by stamping in Mermaid Ink. If you’d like to watch this card come together, you can check out the video tutorial on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty! Thanks so much for stopping by!
