Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our Lots of Heart Challenge! I love a good pun, and when I thought up this one, I knew I had to pull out the beavers from Wood You Be Mine and create a card with them. I combined them with a few accessory images from Swan Soirée and Toadally Awesome. I stamped the images in Jet Black Ink, colored them with my Copic markers, and trimmed them out with their matching dies.

For the background, I started with a piece of Bristol Cardstock and blended on Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink using the Cloudy Stencil. For the bottom, I used one of the Stitched Simple Wavy Borders to trim down some Mermaid Cardstock, then added some detail using the Ocean Wave Accents. I added the sky to a Mermaid card base with liquid glue and popped up the water with foam tape.

Then I used foam tape to adhere all of the images above the water line, and liquid glue for the images below. With Finley’s ABCs I cut the word “gnawsome” from Dark Brown Woodgrain cardstock and stamped the rest of the sentiment on Ballet Slippers Cardstock with Bubblegum Ink. Then I trimmed that down with an Everyday Sentiment Banner. I also stamped the dragonfly trails on the sky with Narwhal Ink and finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

This card is Day 6 of my 2024 Valentine Card Series, so if you’d like to see how it came together, you can check out the video tutorial on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty! We hope you’re enjoying our Lots of Heart challenge. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Thank you for this “gnaw-some” inspiration, Christy! It’s so much fun!

Samantha’s Por-cute-pine Card

Who says hearts have to be pink or red for Valentine’s Day? Samantha inked an Outside In Stitched Heart with Distress ink in Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron before adding splatters of water and white acrylic paint. Then she layered the heart on a square panel, die cut with Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop! The woodgrain adds lots of pretty texture and detail.

Samantha stamped the cute images from Porcu-pine for You, then she colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. She cut them out with the coordinating dies and arranged them on the prepared heart. And then she heat-embossed the sentiment on a vellum Fancy Wavy Banner.

Thank you for this lovely Lots of Heart challenge inspiration, Samantha!
