Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 183 – Monochromatic

Hi Friends! We are back to challenge you with a Monochromatic theme! For this challenge you will create a project using only shades of one color. It’s a great challenge for using our Coloring Stencils to color your stamped images with several shades of ink in green or blue or whatever color you choose. Have fun trying something new if you have never tried a monochromatic project before. Our Design Team has some fantastic inspiration below to get you started.

You are invited to share your creativity by linking up your crafty projects at the end of this post! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies, stencils and papers. This challenge will run for 2 weeks and be open until Sunday, November 3 at 11:59PM ET.

For each challenge, we will randomly select an entry to receive a $50.00 gift certificate to the Lawn Fawn shop! Everyone who enters a challenge has a chance to be the random winner! Woohoo!

We will also be highlighting a few of your fabulous projects at the close of each challenge! By linking your projects to our challenges, you will give permission for us to post your work to this blog and our social media sites. Check out the How to Play page for a few guidelines to play along. We want this to be FUN, so we’ll keep the rules to just a few!

Design Team Inspiration

Shades of purple are perfect for Christy‘s batty scene featuring Fangtastic Friends! She even stenciled the moon from Nighttime Sky with pale purple!

Mimi also used Nighttime Sky Stencil to create an eerie scene for the Wild Wolves! She mixed warm and cool grays to color the images and ink the Spooky Forest Backdrop!

Karin‘s unique design uses neutrals with blue to send love! She combined Giant Outlined Love Ya with Radiant Heart Backdrop and Winter Birds! She found her sentiment in Treat Cart Sentiment Add-On.

Yellow is such a cheerful color and Samantha used it with adorable images from Hive Five and Fox Costumes Before ‘n Afters! She stenciled lots of warm yellow shades with the Corner Rainbow Stencil.

Joyce chose shades of pink to make a “very sweet holiday” card! She used Candy Cane Background Stencils to create an all-over pattern. Then she added Cute Candy Canes with a sweet pink bow.

Samantha used Watercolor Wishes and Rainbow Ever After papers in subtle purple shades to determine her monochromatic scheme. She combined Giant Let it Snow with Snowball Fight critters, then framed the fun with a Snow Flurries Backdrop.

Blue is so pretty for a winter card! Catherine used Winter Birds with Magic Iris Holly Wreath Add-On to make a fun shaker design. Her square shaped card is styled with Stitched Scalloped Square Frames and a square panel cut with Stitched Windy Backdrop. She finished the card by layering a white Scripty Joy on a blue Scripty Joy Outline Add-On.

We will have more Design Team inspiration for the Monochromatic challenge over the next 2 weeksBe sure to come back tomorrow when we’ll announce our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 182 – Sightseeing!

Mimi has her sights set on a sightseeing tour of wine country! Her vineyard scene combines lots of sets in very clever ways!

Mimi used Stitched Hillside Borders, Cloudy Stencil, Forest Border and Little Farm Fence Border to create an amazing landscape. Next, she used images from Veggie Happy to create the grape vines with small pinecones from Winter Birds as the grape clusters. That is just so creative!

And then, she used mice from Sew Very Mice, turning the embroidery hoop into a wine barrel. The basket filled with more grapes is from Apple-solutely Awesome and the bread, cheese and wine bottle image is from Bicycle Built for You! She finished the design with an apropos sentiment from Year Fourteen!

I love this wonderful inspiration, Mimi! Thank you for sharing your creativity!
