Hello Fawnatics friends! Today, Mimi joins us to share a “Wicked” inspired card! She pieced the characters together with some clever combinations of Lawn Cuts dies!

Mimi created Elphaba and Glinda from Mermazing Mermaid! She cut the pieces from white cardstock to color with Copic markers. Then she used a combination of Lawn Cuts sets to create their dresses and accessories. She provided helpful diagrams and a supply list below.

For the greeting, Mimi paired Henry Jr.’s ABCs with words from Apple-solutely Awesome. And she made the “Emerald City” using Village Border. She made the “yellow brick road” with Brick Stencil and On the Road!

This is so clever, such an amazing card, Mimi! Thank for the inspiration!

Mayra has amazing creativity for you today inspired by “Too Many Carrots” a children’s book by Katy Hudson! She created two cards, including a Ta-Da! Diorama!, that are so perfect for Spring crafting!

Mayra started with a fun Ta-Da! Diorama! featuring the cute Build-A-Bunny in black and white like the main character in the story. She filled the front of the card with “too many carrots” from Build-A-Bunny Accessories, Tiny Gift Box Bunny Add-On, Stitched Garden Border and more.

Inside the diorama, Mayra filled the scene with a large cast of characters from Some Bunny, Wood You Be Mine, Pick of the Patch and too many more to list. Please see the supply list below for all the sets Mayra used.

And she made an additional card with more scenes from the book! Here she used Peekaboo Backdrop with critters from Get Well Before ‘n Afters, Really High Five and birds from Let’s Play! And of course, more carrots!

Thank you so much for this delightful inspiration, Mayra!

Design Team Inspiration

Franci was inspired by the movie “You’ve Got Mail” to make a clean and simple card! She cleverly used Happy Mail Foiled Washi Tape for the mail. And she cut out the movie title with Finley’s ABCs from white cardstock to layer on Paper Bag cardstock.

Samantha combined Ahoy Matey and Fairy Friends for her thank you card inspired by “Peter Pan”! She also used Stitched Pond to create the island!

Christy‘s inspiration came from a children’s song, “Going on a Bear Hunt”! She brought it to life with Heart Tree, It’s a Bird, Snow Much Fun and a sentiment from Car Critters.

Karin‘s inspiration is the classic “The Sound of Music”! I love that Marie is being played by the mother duck from Rub-A-Dub-Dub with an apron from Sew Very Mice! The von Trapp children are played by Tiny Birthday Friends! She created the famous hills with Over the Mountain Borders.

Joyce shows us that Harry Potter is a fun theme that’s perfect for creating a Stitched Bookmark! She used the Special Delivery set and stenciled the bookmark with Skinny Stripes Stencils!

Samantha used Elephant Parade, Kanga-rrific and Kanga-rrific add-On to bring to life the nursery rhyme, “Kookaburra Sits in the Old Gum Tree”.

Mimi was inspired by the movie “Kung Fu Panda” to customize some of our cute critters! She created the scene with Desert Canyon Backdrop and Heart Tree. Then she assembled the cast of characters from I Heart Pandas Add-On, Toucan Do It, Critters in the Desert and Rub-A-Dub-Dub.

Mayra chose “Peter Rabbit” to inspire this storybook themed card! She used Little Woodland Library, Some Bunny, Rub-A-Dub-Dub, Heart Tree, Spring Basket, Crazy Antics, Tea-rrific Day plus too many more sets than can be listed here. Can you identify all the sets?

She used Foursquare Backdrop: Portrait for the card front and Stitched Hillside Borders to create the storybook look on the inside of the card.

We will have more Design Team inspiration for the Inspired by a Book, Movie or Song challenge over the next 3 weeksBe sure to come back tomorrow when we’ll announce our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 192 – All Things Birthday!
