Catherine was inspired by a Christmas card that Marine created for the introduction to Ugly and Bright! She put her own spin on the original by changing the season, creating an amazing beachy, summer design!

In addition to the Ugly and Bright bear, Catherine featured bears from Snow Much Fun and Den Sweet Den! I love the little sleeping bear getting some sun on the sandy beach! She created the beach scene with Stitched Wave Borders, Hammock and Trees and Stitched Hillside Borders. Then she added Sandy Beach Accents and more beachy cuteness with On the Beach and Beachy Christmas. The bear is wearing a bucket hat from Dad + Me and the luggage is found in Car Critters Road Trip Add-On!

She used Reveal Wheel and clear acetate to make the spinning wheel of summer t-shirts! As the wheel turns the bear changes his outfit! So clever!

Catherine used the plain sweater from Ugly and Bright for the summer t-shirts. She stamped a hibiscus from Toucan Do It on one and the island from Plan on It on another one. The third t-shirt is paper-pieced using Gummy Bears paper.

And here is Marine’s brilliant Christmas card that inspired Catherine’s amazing summer-themed interactive card!

I love your amazing card, Catherine! Thanks so much for the inspiration!

Christy and Samantha both used Beachy Christmas to create their Christmas in July inspiration. Each card is unique though as they brought in other holiday sets.

Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our Christmas in July Challenge! For this one, I wanted to take you to the islands with a tropical theme and color palette. I stamped all the images from Beachy Christmas, Making Frosty Friends and Yeti or Not in Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For my background, I cut down two pieces of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock, one with the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders and one with the Stitched Simple Wavy Borders. For the island, I blended on Distress Inks in Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs, then did some splatter to give it the look of sand. For the sea, I used Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers. Then I blended some Salvaged Patina directly onto my Mermaid card base for the sky. I stamped my sentiment at the bottom of the sand piece with Walnut Ink.

I glued the sea to my card front with liquid glue. I added two Spring Showers clouds to the sky. Then used the Sandy Beach Accents to cut little swooshes into the sand, glued some of my images into them, and popped that whole panel up with foam tape. I added the rest of the images with liquid glue and finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

I also finished off the inside by stamping in Peacock Ink. If you’d like to watch this card come together, you can check out the video tutorial on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty! Thanks so much for stopping by!

What a fun, beachy scene! I wish I could be there for some of this Christmas fun at the ocean!
All of the images from Yeti or Not, Beachy Christmas and On the Beach were stamped and then water-colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out with the coordinating dies. I added details to the images with a White Gel Pen, too!

I used a mask of paper to separate the ocean from the sandy horizon line. I used Distress Inks to blend the beach, and then splattered the same colors and white acrylic ink on top to create the sandy texture.
for the sky, I used blue colors and did a smooth blend. The sentiment was heat embossed in white onto black cardstock. Then yeti images and speech bubble were popped up with foam tape. I had a blast adding these festive hats from Furry and Bright and Yeti or Not to the yetis at the beach!

Big thanks to Christy and Samantha for your fantastic Christmas in July inspiration!
