Samantha’s Nighttime Sky Stenciled Beam Me Up Card

You are invited to share your creativity by linking up your crafty projects at the end of this post! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies, stencils and papers. This challenge will run for 2 weeks and be open until Sunday, June 16 at 11:59PM ET.

Samantha‘s adorable space-themed card features Nighttime Sky Stencil! It provides the perfect backdrop for the cute Beam Me Up aliens! To create that amazing space background, she blended Distress Oxide Ink in Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass, and Wilted Violet.

She included a Wavy Sayings greeting on a Simple Wavy Banner.

Beam Up Some Fun Card Sketch Inspiration with Christy

We have reached the last weekend for our Card Sketch challenge! We will introduce a new challenge on Monday, but there’s still time to get those card sketch projects entered in the current challenge!


Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card using our current Card Sketch! For this one, I was thinking space, so I pulled out Beam Me Up and Out of this World. I stamped my images with Jet Black Ink and colored them with Copic markers.

For my background, I blended Distress Oxide Inks onto a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. The colors I used were Candied Apple, Mustard Seed, Peacock Feathers, and Blueprint Sketch. Then I darkened up the panel with Black Soot.

To give it some stars and shine, I splattered on some Liquid Stardust, followed by Copic Opaque White. Once the panel was dry, I trimmed it down with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables.

I glued that to a Black Licorice card base, then added my images, and finished it off with some Star Dust Stickles and some tiny iridescent stars. If you’d like to see how this card came together, you can find the video tutorial on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty!
