Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our Inspired by a Book, Movie, or Song Challenge! These sweet little Carrot Treat Boxes and tags were actually inspired by TWO books and a song. Every year when Easter rolls around, there is one song that has played in my head since probably Kindergarten. “Here comes Peter Cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail, hippity-hoppity Easter’s on its way!”

That’s where the original idea for carrot-treat boxes and tags came from. But as I was laying out the images, I noticed that the big bunny’s hands were outstretched, and the little bunnies were gathered around him as if he were telling a story. So I decided to give him a book and have the story be The Tale of Peter Rabbit, the only book I still have from my own childhood, since it was my favorite.

But the more I looked at the scene that was coming together, the more it reminded me of yet another children’s book that I loved to read to my boys when they were small, Die Häsenschule, a German tale told in rhyme about bunnies that go to school and learn all the things that little bunnies should know, like good manners, how to paint Easter eggs, how to identify plants, and evade the sneaky fox. The bow tie and bowler hat on the big bunny reminded me of the teacher! Perfect!

I started with the tags. I made three of everything, one for each of my boys. First, I stamped the images from Carrot ’bout You and Tea-rrific Day Add-On and a book from Den Sweet Den in Jet Black Ink. Then I colored them with my Copic markers and trimmed them out with their matching dies. I cut three round panels out of Bristol Cardstock with the Stitched Circle Stackables and blended on Distress Oxide Inks, using Tumbled Glass for the sky, and Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the ground. I glued these to green gingham patterned paper from the Fruit Salad 6×6, trimmed down with the Scalloped Circle Stackables. I assembled the tags and stamped a sentiment in at the top in black ink.

Then I moved on to the treat boxes. I trimmed two carrot bases for each box from Fake Tan Cardstock, and two tops from Algae. Using the Teflon Bone Folder, I reinforced each fold, then rolled back the tops with a pencil to give them a curve. I added 1/4” Double-sided Adhesive to the tags and attached them to assemble the base of the box. Then I folded the tops on their score line, added more of the tape and adhered them to the bases. I filled the boxes with Jelly Beans and closed them up.

Then I took another piece of Double-sided Tape and ran it vertically down the back of each tag and used that to attach them to the tops of each box. And that’s it! They came together super easily.

Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our Spring Fling Challenge! When I think of Spring, the first things that come to mind are bunnies and flowers, so I knew that had to be the focus of today’s card. The adorable, new Carrot ‘Bout You stamp set worked perfectly as the star, and I also brought in a speech bubble from All the Speech Bubbles and two tiny butterflies from Butterfly Kisses. I stamped the images in Jet Black Ink, colored them with my Copic markers, and trimmed them out with their matching dies.

Next, I cut the inner part of the Secret Garden Window from white cardstock and colored it in the same shades of Copics as I had used on my images. I took a piece of the pastel rainbow striped patterned paper from the Rainbow Ever After 6×6 pad and trimmed it down with the largest Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables, then cut out the center with the other part of the Secret Garden Window. I glued these two pieces together.

Then I took another sheet of patterned paper with a gorgeous sunset ombre look and trimmed off the bottom, then cut that out with the grass from the Mushroom Border. I popped that up with foam tape over the part I was using for my sky, then popped the frame over top as well. I glued this whole panel to the front of a Sticky Note card base.

I adhered my images with a mix of liquid glue and foam tape and stamped the rest of my sentiment on Moonstone Cardstock with Forget-me-not Ink. I trimmed that down with an Everyday Sentiment Banner and glued that at the bottom of the window and finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

If you’d like to see how this card came together, you can check out the video tutorial on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty! And I’ll have another video using these sets on the Lawn Fawn YouTube channel tomorrow, so stay tuned for that. We hope you’re enjoying our Spring Fling challenge. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Thank you so much for this sweet inspiration, Christy! This card is absolutely beautiful!
