Hey friends, Christy here with another card inspired by our gorgeous Fall Inspiration Mood Board. This time I drew from the photo at the top right, with the bit of sky peeking through the leaves of the trees. I also pulled in all of the color palette except the hot pink, to keep it a little more masculine, since I was making a birthday card for my dad.
To create my scene, I first stamped and Copic colored the moose from Critters in the Arctic and the little birds from Chit Chat, to give him some friends. I die cut an aqua blue circle for my sky using the Large Stitched Circle Stackables, then added the new Birch Trees in dark brown and tan. For my understory and bushes, I used the Puffy Cloud Borders on some orange and yellow cardstock. Then I added my moose and birds to the scene.
I cut down my patterned papers from last year’s Perfectly Plaid Fall using the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and adhered those to a dark brown card base, then popped my focal panel over top with foam tape.
To finish off the card I added the happy birthday speech bubble from Chit Chat, stamped in Walnut ink, then added an insert on the inside with the baby moose and the word Dad from Dad + Me.
I hope my dad likes his birthday card, and I hope you did too!
You still have over a week to enter our Fall Inspiration Board Challenge! I can’t wait to see what you all create.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
