Introducing New Design Team Members!

We are so excited to introduce 2 new members of the Lawn Fawnatics Design Team! Help us welcome Catherine Cohen and Mimi Lo! You can read all about these super-talented cardmakers and crafters at our Design Team page. We know they will inspire you with their creativity and be wonderful additions to our amazing team!

We are also saying good-bye to Caly who is leaving the Lawn Fawnatics Design Team for a new assignment with Lawn Fawn.

Now let’s see how our Design Team was inspired to create All Things Birthday!

Mimi created the most amazing birthday gift wrap in happy colors! She added fun images from Wild for You, Year Four, RAWRSOME, Simply Celebrate Summer and Offset Sayings: Birthday! She also included a cut bow in Holographic cardstock from Put a Bow on It, and a gift tag made with an ice cream cone from I Scream You Scream!

Catherine created a whole party with a “strawberry shortcake” theme! For the clever shaker invitation, she used Outside In Stitched Strawberry, Stitched Strawberry Frame and Strawberry Patch to carry the theme. She created “Strawberry Shortcake” with Bicycle Built for You, Berry Special and Special Delivery. There’s also “let’s party” from Party Animal along with Flirty Frames, and “date” and “address” from Plan On It and Plan On It: Appointments.

For the fantastic party decor, Catherine used more strawberry die sets along with Milk Carton, Cake Slice Box and Stitched Scalloped Cupcake Wrapper!

Aparrotly, Franci used our new Year Twelve set to feature on her adorable birthday card! An ink blended Snowy Backdrop makes for a cheery layer of color on this clean and simple design!

Joyce created the sweetest birthday card featuring You Goat This! The mini slimline card is the perfect size for this happy little party!

Samantha‘s birthday card is “on point” with the adorable cactus from Year Ten! She added lots of style to her simple design with ink blending and Lots of Hearts stenciling!

Jessica‘s legendary birthday card combines Lovable Legends with Giant Happy Birthday to You! This design is perfect for all those men on your birthday card list!

This charming card by Karin is simply adorable! She used Outside In Stitched Balloon Stackables, Butterfly Kisses and a birthday greeting from Special Delivery Add-On.

It’s birthday party time in the aquarium! Samantha created this cute card using Fintastic Friends, Party Animal and Virtual Friends Add-On. I love how she added the Ocean Wave Border and Outside In Stitched Thought Bubbles to enhance the underwater theme!

Christy‘s gorgeous card wishes a berry happy birthday with a cute Berry Special scene! The pretty patterned papers in the background are from Flower Market!

Jenn got creative and made a set of cards to give as a gift! They are beautifully made using Clover Background Stencils and Giant Thank You! They will be great for sending a special thank you for all the birthday gifts!

We will share more Design Team inspiration for you over the next 2 weeks and we’ll announce our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 119 – Card Sketch tomorrow! Now it’s time for you to get creative!

Spooky Framed Scenes with Samantha

Hey everyone, Samantha here with a card inspired by the current Halloween and Fall Inspiration Challenge! Halloween is such a fun holiday because there are so many spooky decorations, treats, and costumes.
I created a card that showcases picture frames that you could find inside a haunted house.

The Flirty Frames stamp set is so versatile and really fun to work with. The Spooky Village and Tiny Halloween stamp sets fit perfectly inside the frames. With a little masking, I was able to create cute little scenes inside each of the frames. Since the scenes are flat inside the frame, I added Scotch double-sided foam tape behind the frames to give the card dimension.

You still have time to create a project for the Halloween and Fall Inspiration Challenge! The challenge is open until Sunday, October 18th at 11:59PM ET. We look forward to seeing your project!

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

More Fabulous Inspiration by our Guest Designer, Davina!

Hello Fawnatics Friends! We are one week into our Inspired by a Book, Movie or Song challenge and you guys are seriously impressing us with your creativity! There is still a full week to enter the challenge which is open until Sunday, March 17 at 11:59PM ET.

Our amazing Guest Designer, Davina joins us again today to share 2 more fabulous cards to inspire your crafting! She will tell you about her process for making these clever card designs!

“I love creating scenes from movies and books. And when I’m going through my stamp sets I’m always thinking about what else can be created with the images. I was inspired by one on my favorite childhood movies Bambi. I knew that I had images for all the main characters.

My favorite part of the movie is the “Twitterpated” spring. And I tried to recreate that meadow scene. After die cutting my panels I ink-blended the background and splattered white opaque ink on the golden sky. I stamped out all my images and colored them with Copic markers and white gel pen highlights. I wanted my cute Flower the skunk to be behind the flowers like he was in the movie, so I popped the flowers and grass up on foam tape and placed him behind.

Thumper sits atop the log from the Toadally Awesome set, Bambi is standing in front. I didn’t forget Owl who is perched on a branch whistling away. It was such a joy to create this iconic scene and I hope that you play along with the current challenge to create your own scenes.”

“I am such a lover of everything Harry Potter that I couldn’t resist making a something inspired by the Wizarding World. Honeydukes Sweet Shop is by far one of my favorite magical places.”

“After already creating two projects I wanted to try something a little different. I wanted to make a scene that would appear like I was living in the Wizarding World.  And what would the table look like upon emptying my pockets after a day in Hogsmeade Village. I’d have Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans, and Chocolate Frogs. There would be Droobles best blowing gum and Fizzing Wizzbees. I would have brought home a Pumpkin Pasty for later and some sweet Jelly Slugs (formerly a cute snail from Gleeful Gardens who lost him shell).”

Thank you so much, Davina! Your card art is amazing and we are so happy that you joined us for this challenge!
