Catherine’s Clever Mountain Platform Pop-Up

We hope you enjoy today’s inspiration! We can’t wait to see your beach or mountain creativity! The Challenge 126 – Beach vs Mountain is a 2-week challenge and will be open until Sunday, June 19 at 11:59PM ET.

Catherine is back with another cute and clever design to inspire you!

Catherine’s brilliant camping and zip-lining scene is so much fun! And adding it to a Platform Pop-Up makes it even more fun! She used Stitched Mountain Borders to create the 3D scenery along with Forest Border. She decorated the base of the Platform Pop-Up using Build-A-Campsite and a Butterfly Kisses bunny.

The Really High Five critters are zipping over the mountains with the help of acetate strips to suspend them. Catherine fashioned the zip-line using the triangle from Critter Concert. She used a line from a limited edition set but you could substitute with the clothesline from Little Bundle. And because “safety first” these wise critters borrowed helmets from Scootin’ By.

Catherine used the tree die from Build-A-Campsite to make a stencil to create scenery on the platform base.

Thanks so much for this totally adorable inspiration, Catherine!

Christy’s Winter Wonderland Card!

Hey everyone, it’s Christy here with another card for our Fun with Dies Challenge! As I’ve been flipping through my Lawn Fawn stamp sets lately, I’ve been pausing often on Winter Bunny. He may have been around for a while, but in my opinion, he’s a classic! And today is his day to shine as the one and only colored image on my card, amidst a winter wonderland created with dies.

After he was colored with Copic markers and trimmed out with his matching die, I set him aside while I created a background using Distress Oxide inks. I sprinkled the background with some Liquid Stardust for a pretty little splash of shimmer when you tip the card into the light. Then I took a few snowflake images from Ready, Set, Snow, and stamped those on the background in purple. I cut down the panel and added some stitching detail with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and adhered it to a light purple card base.

I had this vision for the scene with giant snowflakes tumbling out of the sky, so I die cut a bunch out of white cardstock using Stitched Snowflakes and glued those down to the top half of the card, and trimmed off any excess. Then I added the Forest Border, also in white, for Winter Bunny to sled down.

To finish off the card, I added a Scripty Joy sentiment die-cut out of red cardstock, then layered over the top a white heat embossed sentiment from Ho-Ho-Holidays. And of course, a little sparkly glitter glue the tips of all the snowflakes and Winter Bunny‘s scarf. I also finished off the inside with an appearance from Winter Fox, which you can check out if you like in the video tutorial on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty.

If you’re feeling inspired to pull out those dies and get crafting, not to worry! You still have time to play along in our Fun with Dies challenge. We can’t wait to see what you create!

Our Fun with Dies challenge will be open until Sunday, December 1st at 11:59PM ET.
