We will also be highlighting a few of your fabulous projects at the close of each challenge! By linking your projects to our challenges, you will give permission for us to post your work to this blog and our social media sites. Check out the How to Play page for a few guidelines to play along. We want this to be FUN, so we’ll keep the rules to just a few!

Mimi let her imagination go to fun places as she created this Card Sketch inspiration for you! Her brilliant design features Wood You Be Mine?! She will explain her process in her own words.

I die cut the Meadow backdrop and trimmed off the top grass portion. Then I ink blended with Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide ink and splattered some Rustic Wilderness ink as well.

I also ink blended a short strip for the top of the card with same colors and blended the edges with Walnut Stain distress oxide ink.

For the circular part of the card sketch, I created a beaver dam using the Fruit Basket die for my frame. I trimmed the middle of the fruit basket die off. Ink blended with Walnut Stain distress ink. I also inked blended a small piece with Walnut Stain distress ink to put behind the dam.

I stamped many branches from Jump for Joy in Doe and Walnut dye ink and cut out using the coordinating dies. Then I layered the branches over the fruit basket frame. I added a few tiny branches with leaves from the new Wood You Be Mine as well.

I die cut 2 pieces of the Large Stitched Rectangle. With one of the rectangle pieces, I trimmed in half and ink blended both with Prize Ribbon distress oxide ink. Next, I heat embossed the waves (from Wood You Be Mine?) with white embossing powder. Then I stamped 2 lakes from Dad + Me with Prize Ribbon distress oxide ink to border the beaver dam.

I wanted the heart that the two beavers were holding to be wood-like, so I masked off the beavers and stamped the Woodgrain Backdrops to the heart. The sentiment was also heat embossed with white embossing powder. As a final touch I accented images with white gel pen.

Thank you so much, Mimi for sharing your cute and clever inspiration with us today!
