Design Team Inspiration

Samantha‘s adorably punny design features Be Hap-pea, Henry’s ABCs and Draped Ribbons Stencil!

Karin‘s card puts the spotlight on one of the Stitched Root Veggies paired with a sentiment from Carrot ’bout You! She added some pretty detail using Fancy Scalloped Rectangle Stackables.

Christy sends “berry grape” birthday wishes with this fun and clever design! She combined our new Year Fourteen grapes with Berry Special for the cute fruit. Her greeting features Finley’s ABCs and a sentiment from Year Fourteen stamped with Juice Box ink!

Mimi created a sushi feast starring Let’s Roll! She cleverly used the Ta-Da! Diorama! Shop Add-On and Window Frame to fashion a sushi bento box! As always, she used creative license to make her design her own!

Joyce‘s get-well card is filled with fruity goodness! she used Fruit Salad 6×6 paper for the background then she assembled fruit from Year Fourteen, Aloha, Berry Special, You’re the Zest and So Smooth. She added a sentiment from Get Well Before ‘n Afters stamped on a Stitched Sentiment Banner.

I love to see Treat Cart paired with different critters and Samantha delivers with these adorable penguins! She crafted her background using Stitched Ripple Backdrop, Scalloped Rectangle Stackables and Rainbow Ever After paper. She found the cute critters Penguin Party and the message is from Wavy Sayings on a Simple Wavy Banner.

Catherine reminds us of an iconic food with her “souper” birthday card! To create the soup cans, she used Build-A-Drink Root Beer Add-On. The solid piece for the cans and the insert piece to make the can lids. Then after coloring them in the classic colors, she layered them on a Radiant Heart Backdrop. She created the soup bowl with a Circle Stackable and the largest of the Large Stitched Ovals. The little bears are from Den Sweet Den and Snow Much Fun, and the spoon is from Stitched Teacup. And then she spelled out “souper” with Quinn’s ABCs!

Jenn joins us for this challenge with super sweet inspiration! She paired Treat Cart with I Scream, You Scream for some frosty fun with food!

How fun is this adorable bowl of cereal goodness! Catherine recreated the box of a favorite cereal to send a late birthday wish. Mice from A Creature Was Stirring and Merry Mice stand in for Snap, Crackle and Pop. She made the bowl with a Stitched Oval and Circle Stackable. Inside the bowl she used the cheeks from Woodland Critter Huggers as the crispy rice and How You Bean Strawberries Add-On and Berry Special for the fruit! And Art Supplies paint splatters are the splashes of milk, so clever!

Samantha‘s yeti pair look to be having lots of fun with pizza! She used a square panel of Fruit Salad paper to build this fun scene with Yeti or Not and Pizza My Heart!

I bet Franci had lots of fun adding those adorable faces to the Fruit Tiny Tags! She used the smileys from Sweet Friends. Her inking is so soft and pretty and I love how she used the Tiny Tag Sayings: Fruit to add the punny greetings to the back of the tags.

Mimi has brought to life the cutest ice cream shop ever! She got really creative combining pieces from Sprinkled with Joy and a selectively stamped Loads of Fun washing machine to make the ice cream case and standing freezers. She added the happy Snow Much Fun bears as customers and proprietor. And then to fill the shelves and counter she shopped the little items in various sets including Unicorn Picnic, Perfectly Wicked, Scent with Love Add-On, Simply Celebrate Summer and Berry Special! I love how she added bright, happy color using rainbow washi tape!

S’mores are definitely a food you can have fun with! Joyce created a fun camping scene using Build-A-Campsite, Secret Garden Window and S’more the Merrier!

Christy‘s mice are enjoying ripe watermelon, a perfect summer treat! Her mice are from Bubbles of Joy and Crazy Antics which also includes the watermelon slices. The larger watermelon is from Happy Summer! And the new Fruit Salad paper ties everything together! How clever of her to create her scene on a Secret Garden Window panel turned on its side!

Samantha created the sweetest “pink lemonade” card! She combined critters from Elephant Parade, Elephant Parade Add-On and Fly High with lemons from Make Lemonade and a sentiment from You’re the Zest!

Karin created two simply beautiful cards featuring pineapples! The first card stars our new Playful Pineapple and Scripty Enjoy! The second card uses Simply Celebrate Summer!

We will share more Design Team inspiration for you over the next 2 WEEKS and we’ll announce our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 151 – Summertime Fun: Critters on Vacation tomorrow!
