Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 76 – Anything But a Card!

Hello Fawnatics friends! It’s time to kick off May with a new challenge! We have all been making lots of cards lately to send encouragement and smiles so for this challenge we would like you to make anything but a card! Make a mixed media journal page, Bible journal, a scrapbook layout, a gift or favor box! The sky is the limit as long as it’s not a card!

We would love for you to share your creativity by linking up your crafty projects at the end of this post! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies and papers. This challenge will run for 2 weeks and be open until Sunday, May 17th at 11:59PM ET.

For each challenge, we will randomly select an entry to receive a $25.00 gift certificate to the Lawn Fawn shop! We will also be highlighting a few of your fabulous projects at the close of each challenge! By linking your projects to our challenges you will give permission for us to post your work to this blog and our social media sites. Check out the How to Play page for a few guidelines to play along. We want this to be FUN so we’ll keep the rules to just a few!

So let’s see how the Design Team was inspired by this new challenge!

Samantha M. is a talented scrapbooker and this layout sure proves it! She combined Outside In Stitched Cloud Stackables, Stitched Cloud Frames and Starry Backdrops stamps with some fun stenciled texture! The title is Oliver’s Stitched ABCs!

I love how Samantha C combined the cute Really High Five critters jumping on their trampoline with the Scalloped Treat Spring House Add-On! Such a fun 3D scene!

Franci‘s “Anything But a Card” project is an adorable stack of Tiny Gift Boxes! She decorated them with the cute little bow included in the die set then she added the happy ducks from Rub-A-Dub-Dub! These would be so cute for a baby shower!

Jessica made sweet little Pillow Box thank you gifts! She used Hello Sunshine Remix papers and added a gorgeous Layered Butterfly on each one! The sentiment on the little tag is from Reveal Wheel Sentiments!

Karin‘s Heart Treat Boxes are a delightful design with a pop of color! The Chili Pepper red boxes are decorated with a little cutie from A Bug Deal on an ink blended heart!

The pastel colors of Joyce‘s beach house treat box give a sun-washed beachy vibe! It’s perfect for summer gift giving!

I love when the older sets come out to play! Christy decorated her Woodgrain Goodie Bag with a sweet little Critters in the Forest vignette! She framed the circle scene with a Scalloped Circle of Fall Fling paper!

Caly‘s treat box is a Spring House Add-On design complete with charming accents of a picket fence and pretty flower-filled window boxes!

I want to get in on the fun of this challenge, too! I decorated a Hello Sunshine Remix Mini Notebook using Outside In Stitched Cloud Stackables! The label combines Riley’s ABCs in rainbow ink colors along with a sentiment from Happy Harvest. I used the cute smileys from Reveal Wheel Circle Sentiments to add some whimsy and tied on some Mermaid’s Lagoon Sparkle cord.

We will share Design Team inspiration for you over the next 2 weeks and we’ll announce our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 75 tomorrow!

Beautiful Sketch Challenge Inspiration by Karin

This is the last weekend for the Card Sketch challenge and Karin has two beautiful cards with unique designs to inspire you! If you haven’t in this challenge played yet, check it out HERE. It will be open until 11:59PM ET on Sunday May 5th.

For this first card, Karin die cut a circle in a white cardstock panel. Then on a second panel she inked a lovely sky in pretty pastel colors! She added some grass and Birch Trees. The sweet Butterfly Kisses critters look adorable watching the butterflies flutter above them!

To create the diagonal element in the sketch, Karin cut tiny flowers from Spring Sprig and scattered them in a loose diagonal line. So pretty!

For this lovely card, Karin started with our Layered Butterflies die set. She cut the solid piece from vellum and the outline from white cardstock. Then she used Distress inks in warm colors to add color to both pieces!

To finish her card with sweet style, she layered the butterfly on a Lacy Heart Stackable. Then she die cut rows of Valentine Borders diagonally in the background!

Thanks so much for sharing with us today, Karin!

We will be back on Monday, May 6th with another great challenge theme for you! We think you will like this one!

Wishing you all a happy, crafty weekend!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 51 – Card Sketch

Hello Fawnatics Friends! We have a fun new challenge for you! This time we have a card sketch to spark your creativity! Create a new card project using the sketch as your guide. Follow it exactly or use some artistic license! Link up your project that features Lawn Fawn stamps, dies and papers below! This challenge will run for 3 weeks and be open until Sunday, May 5th at 11:59PM ET.

For each challenge, we will randomly select a winner to receive a $25.00 gift certificate to the Lawn Fawn shop!

We are so happy to welcome Lynn Kramer-Put as our amazing Guest Designer for this challenge! You may know her as thequeensscene on Instagram and her blog! I know her lovely card designs will inspire you!

Lynn created a gorgeous Double Slider Surprise card featuring Be Hap-pea! I love how she incorporated the diagonal stripe from the sketch by placing a pea pod in the top right and bottom left corners, that is just so clever! She added lots of beautiful color with the Spring Fling papers!

Now let’s see how our amazing Design Team was inspired by the card sketch!

Samantha created a clean and simple design without extra layers! Her cute Mermaid for You couple are featured on a beautiful watercolor wave mimics the diagonal stripe!

Joyce omitted the diagonal stripe completely and chose to use the circle shape to create an adorable Oh Gnome scene! She also switched the sentiment to the opposite side! She layered the Stitched Circle with a Zig Zag Circle to frame her scene which she made using Meadow Borders, Simple Puffy Clouds and trees from Stitched Hillside Backdrop: Landscape!

Christy followed the sketch pretty closely when creating this fabulously fun RAWRSOME design! She added in the stripes using Cilantro, Peacock and Fake Tan cardstock on the Narwhal background. The cute stitched clouds are found in the Spring Showers die set!

Grace created her diagonal wave pattern using a Scalloped Rectangle as a stencil for ink blending! Then she used an Outside In Stitched Circle to make the shaker window for the Get Well Before ‘n Afters whales (one of which is mirror stamped).

Jessica color coordinated her Layered Butterfly with a lovely watercolor painted stripe! I love how she added the sparkly silver butterfly body!

The For You, Deer bear is so adorable just hanging out on Karin‘s cheery polka dot card design!

Franci followed the sketch using shiny foiled stripes! Isn’t it so cute how her Butterfly Kisses scene goes beyond the Scalloped Circle background?

Samantha‘s sweet thank you card combines Chirpy Chirp Chirp with with How You Bean?! She created the sketch background using Spring Fling papers!

Jenn created a magical rainbow undersea world for her sketch card! She used Mermaid for You and a rainbow of cardstock and ink colors along with glittery gold sparkle cardstock! The greeting is from Wavy Sentiments stamped on a Fancy Wavy Banner!

We will have Design Team inspiration for you over the next 3 weeks and of course we’ll share our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 50 tomorrow!
