A Beautiful Bokeh Card with Samantha

Our New Year challenge is underway and today we have Samantha sharing a beautiful card to inspire us! This challenge will be open until Sunday, January 3 at 11:59PM ET.

Samantha combined two images, the beautiful bokeh and bling to create a truly gorgeous card!

Samantha took her color cues from the bling-y sequins image. She ink blended with Distress Oxide inks in Black Soot and Iced Spruce to create the wintry backdrop! Once that background was dry she used Let’s Bokeh to stamp and emboss the circles with clear, pearlescent and clear sparkle embossing powders.

Samantha stamped the trees from Let it Snow on vellum and embossed them for a glossy look. She fussy cut them and attached them to the sparkling background. Then she added the sentiment from Snowy Backdrops.

As a final touch to really bring the wow factor to her card, Samantha sprinkled sequins in gorgeous colors across the card!

Samantha’s gorgeous design features our Let it Snow set! She stamped the trees with Distress Oxide inks using the “rock and roll” technique to get a beautiful color mix on the images.
She used regular Distress ink in shades of blue to create this wonderful stenciled watercolor background! The pop of red on the sentiment banner completes the color story!
