Mimi’s Little Letter Red Envelopes to Celebrate Lunar New Year

You are invited to share your creativity by linking up your crafty projects at the end of this post! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies, stencils and papers. This challenge will run for 2 weeks and be open until this Sunday, January 19 at 11:59PM ET.

For each challenge, we will randomly select an entry to receive a $50.00 gift certificate to the Lawn Fawn shop! Everyone who enters a challenge has a chance to be the random winner! Woohoo!

We will also be highlighting a few of your fabulous projects at the close of each challenge! Mimi celebrates the Year of the Snake with charming and clever card!


Mimi layered a Quilted Backdrop over red cardstock as a pretty base for her clever celebration card. Next, she used Flickering Candle Distress Mica Spray on a Lacy Rectangle, giving it a brilliant gold sheen.


She created the red envelopes with Little Letter before embossing in gold the Happy New Year sentiment from Simply Celebrate Winter Critters. Then she added the snake from Critters in the Desert, flowers from More Magic Messages and gold coins from Ahoy Matey. And she filled the envelopes with cash from How You Bean? Money Add-On.

She combined words and phrases from Henry’s Build-A-Sentiment: Winter, Spring and Family to stamp the thoughtful greeting.
