Mimi gave the new Build-A-Gumball Machine a cute holiday vibe to create a super cute Christmas in July shaker card!

Mimi created the shaker by stacking 4 layers of gumball machine with acetate between the top 2 layers. Then she dressed the gumball machine up with holiday fun including a Santa hat and holly from Woodland Critter Huggers Winter Add-On. She added additional mini holly from Shadow Box Card Fireplace Add-On.

She used glitter frosted mint candies from How You Bean? Mint Add-On. She stamped them first in festive colors of Distress Oxide ink using a Misti. Then she stamped again with embossing ink to heat emboss with glittery Unicorn Sparkle embossing powder.

Finally, she added a colorful greeting using the same Distress Oxide inks and Offset Sayings: Christmas. I love how she replaced the O with another mint! She used the smallest of the Small Mini Slimline Stackables as a sentiment banner. So clever!

Thanks so much for this brilliant card idea, Mimi! I love the pretty pink gumball machine and pastel mints!

Karin reached way back to 2011 to use the Critters in the Forest tree as a Christmas tree for her lovely design! She added gift packages from Toboggan Together and trimmed the tree with ornaments from Cheery Christmas. To add a special touch of shine, Karin covered the ornaments with Clear Glaze. The dramatic backdrop was created with Distress Ink in Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. Finally, she added a sentiment from Offset Sayings: Christmas.

I hope that Karin’s beautiful Christmas card has inspired you to create some Christmas in July cards! Be sure to link them up by 11:59PM ET on Sunday, August 6. Click HERE to see the challenge post.
