We will also be highlighting a few of your fabulous projects at the close of each challenge! By linking your projects to our challenges, you will give permission for us to post your work to this blog and our social media sites. Check out the How to Play page for a few guidelines to play along. We want this to be FUN, so we’ll keep the rules to just a few!

Let’s see what our amazing Design Team created to inspire us!

Jessica added just a bit of inking to give the suggestion of blue sky! Then she assembled a cute sun and clouds from Spring Showers and a glittery gold Scripty Hello to complete this simply adorable design!

Joyce put the focus on the sweet images and sentiment from Let’s Toast! She framed the little vignette with some hearts and a Fancy Scalloped Rectangle. So cute!

Samantha started with a column of blue watercolor, adding some stenciled stars over the top. Then she brought in a few images from All the Clouds to fill the sky! Her sentiment is a combination from Rain or Shine Before ‘n Afters and All the Clouds.

Caly used the “white space” to create a window with Outside In Stitched Circle Stackables. She filled the window with some tropical leaves stenciling and a cute critter from Hang in There!

Christy‘s sweet design proves that the open space can be any color! She combined Happy Hugs with Giant Sending Big Hugs, layering them on a Quilted Heart Backdrop! The peachy colors are so lovely!

Franci used images from Eggstra Special Easter, colored in bright, happy colors! She added just a little ink blending to define the space then stamped the sentiments in pretty pastel ink colors to create two beautiful clean and simple cards!

Karin created layers of Quilted Heart Backdrop, Lacy Heart Stackables and Fancy Scalloped Rectangle in white. Then she added special detail with a beautifully inked Giant XOXO and Car Critters Christmas Add-On cuties!

Samantha started her clean and simple design with a panel of patterned paper from Really Rainbow! Then she layered two Selfie Frames, filling one with a cute scene that features Bugs and Kisses, and A Bug Deal images! She kept this really simple by using Watercolor Wishes Rainbow paper to fill the background in the frames.

Our favorite mermaid is definitely dreaming of beach weather with this simply beautiful Mermaid for You card! Jenn included images from So Jelly and letters from Owen’s ABCs to complete her design!

We will share more Design Team inspiration for you over the next 2 weeks and we’ll announce our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 117 – Lots of Heart tomorrow! Now it’s time for you to get creative!

Jessica’s Blue Umbrella Card

Visit the Lawn Fawn blog today for our Big Giveaway and the start of March Inspiration Week!

Good morning!  Jess here with a card for our current Inspired by a Book, Movie, Song challenge!  I created a card using the Pixar short, The Blue Umbrella, as my inspiration!

To start, I stamped the umbrella from Hello Baby onto a stack of full sheet sticky post-it notes and fussy cut them to create a bunch of umbrella masks!  Then I started stamping my umbrellas with Copic-friendly Jet Black ink on a panel of Strathmore Bristol smooth cardstock.  As I stamped each umbrella I’d cover it with a mask so I could stamp the next one to create a sea of umbrellas on a rainy day.  I left the masks in place and blended stormy sky, faded jeans, chipped sapphire, and black soot distress oxide ink over the panel.  I splattered it with water, blotted off the excess, and let it dry.

Once the panel was dry I removed the masks and colored my umbrellas with Copic markers.  I stamped faces on two of the umbrellas from All the Clouds to give them a little personality.  Then I die-cut the Puffy Cloud Border with white cardstock and vellum.  I added a sentiment from Rain or Shine Before ‘n Afters and layered the clouds on the top of my panel.  Finally I stamped lots of raindrops and rain from Hello Baby and Rain or Shine Before ‘n Afters with Versamark and heat-embossed them with silver sparkle embossing powder to finish the card!

And that’s it!  You have two more weeks to get crafty and I can’t wait to see what you’ll create for the Inspired By Challenge!  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic weekend! Jess

Fun with Food Inspiration with Leontine: A Pull Tab Card with Chocolate Unicorns!

Our amazing Guest Designer, Leontine joins us today to share some adorable Fun with Food inspiration! She created a pull-tab card featuring chocolate unicorns from our Unicorn Picnic set!

Leontine describes this totally sweet card: “For this card I had the idea to make chocolate unicorns. I started coloring them first and built the rest of the scene around them. I wanted to give it an interactive element, so I added a pull-tab that makes a cloud pop up with some delicious treats. It’s a really sweet scene (literally) with yummy food and a soft pink cotton candy background. I used the starry sky stencil to add some more sparkle. It was a lot of fun to create this card and I wish I could eat those treats!

Leontine combined Unicorn Picnic with Rain or Shine Before ‘n Afters along with and Puffy Cloud Borders and Scripty Sweet! I love how she added icing and sprinkles on the “chocolate” unicorn! When the pull-tab lifts, a whole dessert buffet is revealed!

She created her card on Chocolate Bar cardstock (seems appropriate!) and used Oh Gnome and Eggstra Amazing Easter to piece together the white embossed sentiment on the inside!

Leontine created a video tutorial for this card. You can find it at her YouTube channel, click HERE. Thanks so much!

Thank you so much, Leontine for sharing your amazing creativity with us for the Fun with Food challenge! Your cards are so inspiring!

The Fun with Food challenge will be open until Sunday, July 19th at 11:59PM ET. We hope you will join the fun! Click HERE for the challenge post.
