Mimi highlighted the sparklers in her stunning Happy New Year card!

The background for Mimi’s card starts with Stitched Windy Backdrop cut from Black Licorice cardstock that she splattered with Liquid Stardust! Then she die-cut Giant Oh What Fun from white cardstock, trimmed the greeting to use the frame on her card. You could also use a Stitched Rectangle Frame.

She white embossed the sentiments from Just Add Glitter and Window Scene: Winter on a rectangle label to add to the bottom of the card.

To create the sparklers, Mimi got creative combining Stitched Fireworks cut from holographic cardstock. She also used the coordinating dies for the Fireworks Hot Foil Plates to cut more fireworks from holographic cardstock and vellum before layering them all together!

For the sparkler sticks, she used the skinny rectangle piece from Stitched Happy Heart and Candy Cane Lane 6×6 paper. Then she attached it to a rounded rectangle piece from Magic Picture Changer Oven Add-On in kraft cardstock.

As a final touch, she added more sparkle with holographic cardstock and the snowflakes from Snow Globe Gift Tag.

I love sparklers and I love this fun card, Mimi! Thank you for inspiring us!

Jenn created an amazing monochromatic village scene to celebrate the New Year. She was inspired by the fireworks in the Inspiration Board!

Jenn created a watercolor panel with shades of black and grey. She added the Stitched Fireworks to the sky, then added lots of bright color! She splattered Gansai Tambi Starry Colors gold metallic ink for lots of sparkle.

Next, she colored the images from Happy Village, Village Shops and Village Heroes in monochromatic shades of gray.

The bold greeting rings in the new year with Quinn’s 123s and Riley’s ABCs! She gold embossed “happy” then she added Chunky Glitter to the numbers!

Thank you so much for this brilliant inspiration, Jenn!

Catherine was inspired to create a brilliant “Happy New Year around the world” card!

Catherine used Peekaboo Backdrop to divide the amazing geographical vignettes. She cut the backdrop from black glitter cardstock from the Autumn Sparkle pack. She created the background with Stitched Fireworks and colorful inking. Then she added more sparkle with Chunky Glitter. She added the greeting to the top using Winter Wavy Sayings and a small Simple Wavy Banner.

Please see the supply list below for links to the sets that Catherine used for each of the adorable little scenes.

Top left: New York City – Village Heroes (taxi and fire hydrant), Virtual Friends (waving mouse), Let’s Bokeh (clock and Time Square ball), Plan on It: Calendar (2023), Simple Road Border, Large and Small Mini Slimline Stackables (Time Square building).

Bottom left: Tokyo – Shadow Box Card Mountain Add-On (Mt. Fuji), Build-A-Barrel: Apple (shrine), Bubbles of Joy (mouse), Let’s Go Nuts (scarf), Stitched Hillside Borders.
