Christy’s Magical Pop-Up Card!

Hey friends, Christy here with another fun card to share. When I asked my little guy what kind of 3-D card I should make, he said a pop up, so a pop up it is! I love that even at thirteen, he still likes to come into my craft room and check out my cards and see what I’m up to. Once the type of card was decided, I needed a theme. I went with magical. I was torn between Critters Ever After and Fairy Friends, and then I thought, why not combine them? So I stamped out all my images, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the front of my card, I layered some patterned papers and used the Stitched Circle Stackables and Stitched Hillside Borders to create my focal panel. I added one of my fairies and the frog prince, along with a sentiment stamped in Noble Fir ink. Then I adhered that to a Scalloped Circle Stackables die cut from patterned paper and popped that up in the center with foam tape.

On the inside, I adhered my Stitched Hillside Pop-Up with some strong adhesive and then began adding all my images into the scene. My son loved how it turned out, and even tried to make off with it so he could keep playing with it. Lol.

If you’d like to see how the card came together, you can check out the video tutorial on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty.
You still have another week to play along in our 3-D Card Challenge! These kinds of projects are so fun to make and to receive. I can’t wait to see what you create!
