The summer season officially starts this week in the Northern Hemisphere so let’s celebrate the season! For the Summertime Fun: Critters on Vacation challenge, we would like you to show us your favorite Lawn Fawn critters having fun in the sun!

You are invited to share your creativity by linking up your crafty projects at the end of this post! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies, stencils and papers. This challenge will run for 2 weeks and be open until Sunday, June 30 at 11:59PM ET.

For each challenge, we will randomly select an entry to receive a $50.00 gift certificate to the Lawn Fawn shop! Everyone who enters a challenge has a chance to be the random drawing winner! Woohoo!

We will also be highlighting a few of your fabulous projects at the close of each challenge! By linking your projects to our challenges, you will give permission for us to post your work to this blog and our social media sites. Check out the How to Play page for a few guidelines to play along. We want this to be FUN, so we’ll keep the rules to just a few!

Design Team Inspiration

Karin‘s Car Critters are headed to the beach, anticipating lots of sunshine! I love how she colored the Duh-Nuh shark pink to create a clever pool float! She set the scene with Palm Trees and an inked background! The greeting combines colorful Cole’s ABCs and Henry’s Build-A-Sentiment: Spring!

Franci‘s Whoosh, Kites! mice are having a very happy day! She created this simply fun scene with Pint-Sized Patterns Summertime and detail with a Stitched Border! I love the Turquoise Twine for the kite strings, so clever!

These cute critters are visiting the Southwest for a cowboy experience! Catherine created the desert scene with Desert Canyon Backdrop, Beach Sunset Stencils and agave from Critters in the Desert. The mice are from You Autumn Know, Apple-solutely Awesome and Virtual Friends Add-On and the horse is from Hay There. Catherine also added some fun details, Hats Off to You cowboy hat, wagon from Carrot ’bout You, and a guitar from S’more the Merrier.

Samantha created a tropical scene that is so whimsical! The Meow You Doin’ cats are enjoying a vacation on a tropical island. She set the scene with Tropical Backdrop, Sunray Backdrop and fun images from On the Beach!

Christy‘s joyful Whoosh, Kites! card is perfect for Father’s Day! I love all the bright, cheerful color she used and how she framed the kite flying critters with Meadow Backdrop: Landscape!

On the Beach and Treat Cart pair perfectly in Joyce‘s fun summery scene! She used Large Slimline with Sliders, Slimline Stitched Hillside Borders and Slimline Cloudy Stencils to create the perfect day at the beach!

Take me out to the ballgame! Mimi‘s Treat Cart critters are joined by another critter from Tea-rrific Day to watch a baseball game! I love how the ice cream cart is now selling hot dogs, the iconic favorite of baseball fans! She used Stadium Seating for the bleachers. And she made the baseball mitts by altering the foam finger in the Stadium Seating set, so clever! Other sets she used are Let’s BBQ, Crazy Antics, Just Add Glitter, Tiny Sports Friends and Critters at the Dog Park (“hot dog” on the sign).

This dreamy beach is ready for the critters to enjoy! Samantha inked up an awesome background before adding Life is Good, On the Beach and Fintastic Friends images. The smiling sun from Out of This World finishes this sunny scene!
