Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 104 – Summertime Fun

Hi Friends! I hope your summer is in full-swing (and that our friends in the Southern Hemisphere had a memorable summer)! We are focusing this challenge on all the fun activities and happy events of summer!

We invite you to share your creativity by linking up your crafty projects at the end of this post! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies and papers. This challenge will run for 2 weeks and be open until Sunday, July 18th at 11:59PM ET.

For each challenge, we will randomly select an entry to receive a $25.00 gift certificate to the Lawn Fawn shop! We will also be highlighting a few of your fabulous projects at the close of each challenge! By linking your projects to our challenges you will give permission for us to post your work to this blog and our social media sites. Check out the How to Play page for a few guidelines to play along. We want this to be FUN so we’ll keep the rules to just a few!

Let’s see how our amazing Design Team was inspired by this new theme!

Joyce assembled this fantastic summery scene using just die sets! She started with Scalloped Treat Box Beach House Add-On to make the little beach cottage, it includes the seagull and driftwood. The cute crab is in part of the Palm Trees set. She set the beachy scene using Stitched Wave Borders and Slimline Stitched Hillside Borders.

Karin‘s Magic Iris card features the beachy images from On the Beach! She filled the iris with a sunny greeting from Magic Messages!

Franci‘s Shadow Box Card is filled with colorful Smooth Sailing images! I love how she added the clouds and seagulls on acetate strips so they appear to be in the “sky”!

Our fun sloths are getting in on the Summertime Fun! Samantha combined Hang in There, I Like Naps and Slow Down and Enjoy with Make Lemonade and a sentiment from Simply Celebrate Summer!

Who doesn’t love toasting marshmallows on the beach! This mermaid and crab borrowed some S’more the Merrier supplies to make the yummy treats! How amazing is Jessica‘s ocean sunset background?!

Caly combined two favorite summertime treats, watermelon and popsicles for her inspiration project! She used I Scream, You Scream to craft up these refreshing pops!

A bunch of our cute mice are enjoying at the beach in Samantha‘s clever design! She ink-blended the shoreline background adding splatters for lots of texture. She added beach accessories from Life is Good, Fintastic Friends and On the Beach for the mice to enjoy! The mice are from Bubbles of Joy, Dandy Day, Super Star, Love Poems and You’re Just My Type! You gotta love the one jumping into the waves!

Christy‘s beautiful Mermaid for You Flip-Flop mermaid is making a splash in her fantastic ink-blended ocean scene!

Jenn framed up her On the Beach scene using Tropical Leaves Backdrop! She added some images from Toucan Do It to drive home the tropical theme!

We will share Design Team inspiration for you over the next 2 weeks and we’ll announce our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 103 – Little Things tomorrow!

Christy’s Toucan Do It Inspiration!

Our Little Things challenge will be open until Sunday July 4th at 11:59PM ET. Let’s get that Challenge 103 gallery filled with cute little things! We can’t wait to see what you create!

Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our Little Things Challenge. I could not resist playing with the brand new Toucan Do It stamp set, so I focused on the smaller toucans and other images. I colored them all with Copic markers in a rainbow palette and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

I love using patterned paper for quick and easy backgrounds, and the new Watercolor Wishes Rainbow 6×6 pad is perfect for that! I chose an ombré blue for my focal panel and die cut that with the Small Stitched Circle Stackables. Then I chose a rainbow polka dot print to match my coloring and cut that down with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I adhered the polka dot print to my Mermaid card base and popped the blue ombré circle up with foam tape.

I adhered my images and finished the card with an Everyday Sentiment Banner stamped in Blue Jay ink, and a tiny touch of Star Dust Stickles. I also did some stamping on the inside, which you can check out in the video tutorial on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty!

I definitely think that smaller images deserve to be the stars of the show on occasion, which is what makes this challenge so fun! You still have time to enter. We can’t wait to see what you create!

Thank you so much, Christy! This is amazing inspiration!
