Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our Inspiration Board Challenge! For this card I wanted to use one of my favorite stamp sets of the year, Winter Birds! I adore birds and I get a lot of cardinals in my yard, so this set has a special place in my heart. I also brought in the Winter Birds Add-On, to give my cardinals a warm place to go to get out of the snow! I stamped all the images out with Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I started with a piece of Spiffier Speckles 6×6 paper trimmed down with the second largest of the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I blended Distress Oxide Inks around the edges, using Shaded Lilac first, then a little Dusty Concord at the corners. Then I splattered on some white acrylic paint.

While that was drying, I trimmed out a piece of Barn Red Cardstock to be slightly larger than the focal panel, and then also trimmed out some Knit Picky Winter 6×6 paper with the largest of the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I adhered this to a Speckled Eggshell card base and popped the focal panel up with foam tape. I added a sentiment at the bottom, stamped in Lobster Ink, and adhered my images with liquid glue, then finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

This card is Day 18 of my 2023 Holiday Card Series, so if you’d like to see how it came together, you can check out the video tutorial on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty! We hope you’re enjoying our Inspiration Board challenge. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our Awesome Autumn Challenge! This card was actually inspired by a handmade birdhouse someone recently gifted me. I wanted to make her a special thank you card, so I took different elements that she used in the design and tried to recreate them in stamp form. I combined images from Winter Birds, Winter Birds Add-on, Our Friendship Grows, A Bug Deal, Scripty Autumn Sentiments, and Christmas Dreams. I stamped them all out with Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I started with a couple pieces of Bristol Cardstock and blended on Distress Oxide Inks. For the sky I used Broken China with the Cloudy Stencil. The grass I trimmed down with the Slimline Grassy Hillside Borders. Then I colored the taller one with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn, and the shorter one with Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness.

I stamped a sentiment at the top right of the focal panel and glued it to a Mermaid card base. I added the taller of the grassy hills over top with liquid glue, and popped the shorter one up with foam tape. Then I adhered my images with a mix of liquid glue and foam tape until the scene was nice and full. I finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles and stamped on the inside with Fish Tank Ink.

If you’d like to watch this card come together, you can check out the video tutorial on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty! We hope you’re enjoying our Awesome Autumn challenge. Thanks so much for stopping by!
