It’s new challenge time! Which of our Design Team members inspires you? Did you see something on the Lawn Fawn or Lawn Fawnatics blog that you can’t wait to recreate? Here’s the perfect opportunity to be “Inspired by” one of our Design Team members!
We invite you to share your creativity by linking up your crafty projects at the end of this post! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies, stencils and papers. This challenge will run for 2 weeks and be open until Sunday, May 14th at 11:59PM ET.

We will also be highlighting a few of your fabulous projects at the close of each challenge! By linking your projects to our challenges, you will give permission for us to post your work to this blog and our social media sites. Check out the How to Play page for a few guidelines to play along. We want this to be FUN, so we’ll keep the rules to just a few!
Design Team Inspiration (and who inspired them!)
Catherine chose a fun Year Thirteen card by Mimi as her inspiration!
Catherine‘s “tea-rrific” design features the fun steamer baskets that Mimi created for her card. She made it her own by adding a variety of steamed treats, cute mice, a noodle bowl and tea! Be sure to check out Catherine’s blog post for all the sets she used in such a creative way!
It was a case of mutual admiration with Mimi and Catherine as Mimi chose this clever “swim team” card as her inspiration!
Mimi created her pool with a stitched rectangle and Pastel Pearlescent Vellum in blue for the water. She used Ocean Wave Accents to insert the “swimming” mice and stamped the lane lines with Beam Me Up dashed lines. For the spectator area, Mimi used Stadium Seating and Grassy Border.
Christy found her inspiration on the Lawn Fawn blog, with Design Team member Marine Simon!
Christy featured Elephant Parade with Wild for You in her lovely design adding lots of pretty pink! She added the Toucan Do It branches and flowers with plants from Critters in the Jungle.
Samantha found her inspiration in the adorable superheroes on this clever card by Catherine!
Samantha swapped the dogs from Simply Celebrate Critters for cute mice, adding superhero capes and masks. She also was inspired by Catherine’s stenciled background, to use white stencil paste with the Sunray Stencil.
Joyce was inspired by a Fly High card by Elise Constable, from the Lawn Fawn Design Team.
For her design, Joyce used the Stitched Cloud Backdrop for her background, while taking her color cues from the inspiration card.
This magical card by Elena Roussakis from the Lawn Fawn Design Team was the inspiration for Franci’s Unicorn Picnic card!
Franci changed up the design using the Moon and Stars Backdrop in Portrait for her background. Then she added a glittery Scripty Hello along with the cute unicorn scene.
Both Karin and Jenn were inspired by Samantha Mann‘s unique cardmaking style!
Karin‘s take on Samantha’s style includes inked on part of the background and a cute critter! She paired Furry and Bright with Thanks a Bushel. She incorporated Samantha’s black and white stripes in a banner layered with the sentiment.
Jenn also took her design cues from some of Samantha’s favorite techniques! She inked a portion of the background, leaving plenty of white space. Then she added clouds with stencil paste and Cloud Background Stencils. Jenn water-colored the Fly High images and also included a strip of black and white washi tape.
Samantha chose this delightful Fall picnic scene by Christy as her inspiration!
Christy’s Fall scene used the Crazy Antics picnic basket for snacks and a little knitting and reading. Samantha changed it up creating a pretty Spring scene with a water-coloring bear from Butterfly Kisses! The tree is found in Apple-solutely Awesome and the paint and brushes are from Just Add Glitter!
We will share more Design Team inspiration for you over the next 2 WEEKS and we’ll announce our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 147 – Create a scene: city vs country tomorrow! We can’t wait to see which theme you will choose, city vs country!
