Hello Fawnatics! Welcome to Challenge 57! For this challenge we would like you to make the little images found in our sets the focus of your cards and crafty projects! We hope you will find this theme fun and inspiring!
We would love for you to share your creativity by linking up your crafty projects at the end of this post! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies and papers. This challenge will run for 3 weeks and be open until Sunday, August 4th at 11:59PM ET.
For each challenge, we will randomly select an entry to receive a $25.00 gift certificate to the Lawn Fawn shop! We will also be highlighting a few of your fabulous projects at the close of each challenge! By linking your projects to our challenges you will give permission for us to post your work to this blog and our social media sites. Check out the How to Play page for a few guidelines to play along. We want this to be FUN so we’ll keep the rules to just a few!
We are so happy to welcome Mindy Baxter as our Guest Designer for this challenge! We know you will love her happy style and her amazing Copic coloring skills! You can find Mindy at her blog: My Creative Scoop and on Instagram!
Mindy’s adorable pair of cards feature the cute little critters from Smooth Sailing frolicking among the Puffy Cloud Borders! She added sweet color with ink blended pastel stripes and die cut greetings using Scripty Friends and Scripty Hello! You can find a video tutorial for these cards at Mindy’s YouTube channel.
Now let’s see how the Design Team was inspired by the Little Things theme!
Jessica‘s card is so sweet! She used little images from So Smooth and Cutie Pie! Her “basket” is strips of Knock on Wood paper woven together!
How fun and summery is Samantha‘s Goodie Bag? She stamped the little ants from Happy Summer on the kraft bag and decorated it with little images from So Smooth, Make Lemonade and My Silly Valentine!
Christy used the little images in Smooth Sailing to create a beautiful ocean scene with the help of Stitched Simple Wavy Borders, Rub-A-Dub-Dub, A Birdie Told Me and Mermaid for You!
Karin‘s beautiful mini card used the tiny flowers from Critters in the ‘Burbs paired with greenery from Spring Sprig on a Lacy Heart Stackable! The sentiment is from Bicycle Built for You!
Grace created a “cheesy” birthday card and gift box set! The little mice are from Wild for You and Elphie Selfie and the candle is found in Year Nine! The cute wedge of cheese is from our retired set Best Pun Ever but the cheese in Thankful Mice will fit here perfectly!
I love how the candle on the cheese matches the rainbow colored candle on the card! To make the cheesy holes in the Cake Slice Box, Grace die cut circles using the coordinating dies from Out of this World then backed them with yellow vellum, so clever!
Samantha M used alcohol ink on clear Yupo paper to make Puffy Cloud Borders waves for the Smooth Sailing sailboats and critters! This is such a beautiful and creative card!
Joyce used all the little images from On the Beach and a fun color palette on her card! She stamped her sentiment on layered Speech Bubbles die cut from Apricot and Narwhal cardstock.
These adorable little fish from Keep on Swimming are the stars of Franci‘s sweet and simple card! She finished her delightful card with Scripty Hello, a design with scored lines and inky splatters!
Jenn stamped the tiny images from Plan on It: Vacation to make a fun background for her sunny little card! The little palm trees from Palm Tree Border are featured in the pretty little scene! Even the greeting is the delicate little Hello Border!
We will share Design Team inspiration for you over the next 3 weeks and we’ll share our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 56 tomorrow!
