Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our Interactive Challenge. I had so much fun playing with the Magic Iris Camera Add-on! This die really takes the Magic Iris to a whole new level!
I started by stamping out a little scene using Ocean Shell-fie and coloring it in with my Copic markers. Then I set that aside and built the Magic Iris mechanism using Narwhal cardstock and made sure that was in good working order.

Once I had those two pieces done, it was time to start building my camera. I die cut that out of Narwhal cardstock as well, then used a strip of Hello Sunshine Remix patterned paper to brighten up the center. I added a strip of Dolphin cardstock to the bottom for some contrast. I added a record button by gluing a tiny square of Raspberry cardstock behind the hole on the left, and used Sticky Note for the flash. And I used Mermaid and Dolphin cardstock for the pull tab and shutter button.

I stamped my little sentiment with Jet Black Ink, then glued the Magic Iris to the back of the finished camera, and my scene to the back of the Magic Iris. I adhered some aqua blue Spiffy Speckles patterned paper to my Mermaid card base, then added my Magic Iris Camera over top. To finish off the card, I added a bunch of images and another sentiment to the inside with Peacock Ink.

And then comes the best part! When you get to pull on the tab and reveal the adorable Ocean Shell-fie critters! So fun.
This kind of card is really best showcased in a video, so I’ve created a tutorial for you on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really hope you enjoy it! And if you feel inspired to play along in our Interactive Challenge, you still have time! It’s open until Sunday, July 5th at 11:59PM ET. Have a great day. 🙂
