Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another take on our Mood Board & Color Inspiration Challenge! This time I decided to go the more masculine route, with Let’s BBQ. I stamped my images, colored them in with Copic markers, making sure to represent all the colors in the sidebar of the inspiration photo, plus a few, like red and yellow, that were in the image as well.
For my focal panel, I trimmed down a piece of light blue cardstock to represent the sky with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables. Then I added a hill with the Stitched Hillside Borders and grass with the Grassy Border. I stamped a sentiment across the top of the panel in Black Licorice ink. I like that this greeting can work for a number of occasions, from birthday, to father’s day, to retirement.
I popped my images up with foam tape, then layered the focal panel on top of a yellow patterned paper from the Really Rainbow 6×6 petite paper pack. Then I used another piece of Really Rainbow paper with a diagonal rainbow stripe to pull all the colors I’d used together. I die-cut that with the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables and added it to my card base, then popped up the layered focal panel in the center.
I finished up the card with some stamping on the inside as well, which you can check out in the video on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty.
I hope I’ve inspired you to make something for our Mood Board & Color Inspiration Challenge! You still have time to enter! We can’t wait to see what you create. The challenge will be open until 11:59PM ET on Sunday, June 30th!
Thank you so much for sharing today, Christy! Your card is so full of wonderful summer BBQ fun!
Love this – what a fun scene!
