Samantha joins us today with fantastic inspiration for Christmas in July!

Christmas Fishes plays nicely with the cute scuba diver from You Are Sublime! Samantha gave the diver fun Christmas vibes with the Santa hat and beard from Ho-Ho-Holidays. She even gave him Santa’s sack of toys! The sentiment from You Are Sublime looks amazing white embossed on vellum Stitched Sentiment Banners.

I love the watercolor background that Samantha created with Distress inks and the “smooshing” method. She smooshed the ink pads on a piece of clear stamp packaging with a little spritz of water before applying the ink to a panel of cardstock. She kept adding different inks and building color until she got the blend she liked. Then she let the panel dry before using a blending tool to add more ink to deepen the color.

Your underwater Christmas scene is so brilliant, Samantha! Thanks for inspiring us today!

  1. Oh, MY GOSH! Wow, do I LOVE this! Even the little shells and such at the bottom have ribbons. Wonder what bows / ribbons were used on those?!? The scene is gorgeous. The smooshing is amazing! TFS and LOVE THIS!
